| Hey , so i picked art as one of my major (others are IT and design) and my teacher wants us to pick up a theme, bring 3-4 pictures of it and start doing sketches, paintings, drawings all kinds of things about that theme.kind of like A Level Art.
examples:
face expressions: u will have to study the different face expressions a human can make, draw them , then maybe make a face sculpture etc.
tattoos: history of tattoos, how it started, different styles of tattoos, freaks etc.
hope it helps..
The problem is, i can't think of anything (theme) and thought to ask here. it needs to be a bit creative and outstanding
THanks | |

| 1. Graffiti is a good idea imo, it is an Urban groove, modern art and all that. You cam make them in PS, print, then put a paper over it and copy, then with that sketch make something on a large canvas. 2. Ink! I love ink! Usually something like a surreal portrait looks good with ink. 3. Abstract, always good if you match the colors right! You can even take a really, really giant canvas and use random colors (as long as they match to a point). 4. Browse trough the works of Salvador Dali and M.C. Escher, but don't look at the painting , look at the drawings. another linkjust some random ideas | |

| Echer would be a very good study area. He was a very intersting artist and his works are amazing.
What are you best at in art? Portraiture or landscape?
If portraiture i'd choose movies as your theme.... you could do a marilyn monroe, an elvis, and some other greats of the buissiness.
Landscape i'd look at a countries landscapes, for exapmle you could look at australian landscapes and the difference between an aboriginal artists landscape and a traditional landscape.
Hope i've given you some ideas, the best advice i could give you is to play to your strengths but at the same time go for something new, something thatwould interest you to learn about. | |
